RENO, Nev. | The Easton Red Rovers wrestling team hit the jackpot again in the wild, wild West.

Senior Jordan Oliver and sophomore Mark Hartenstine won individuals titles Thursday night at the Reno Tournament of Champions and led Easton Area High School to its second consecutive team title and its sixth in the event's 13th year of existence.


Coach Steve Powell's wrestlers amassed more than 200 points to easily win the 76-team, two-day tournament.

Official team results were not available at press time but Easton had clinched the No. 1 finish by the championship rounds.)

Oliver, who won a Reno title as a sophomore and lost in the final last year, pinned Jimmy Eggemeyer of Bethel Regional in 2:27 in the 130-pound final. Oliver, the top seed, pinned five of his six opponents and won by technical fall, 30-14, in the third round.

Hartenstine, the No. 2 seed, scored a 2-0 decision over No. 1 seed Corey Mock of Chapel Hill in the 125-pound final. Harenstine beat the No. 3 seed in the semifinals.

Freshman Joey Rizzolino at 112 pounds and senior Kegan Handlovic at 119 pounds both lost in the finals and will bring home silver medals.

Handlovic, the second seed, lost by fall in 1:25 to No. 1 Thomas Williams of South Hills, Calif., in the 119-pound final. Williams beat Handlovic 12-4 in last year's championship round.

Rizzolino, the No. 15 seed who beat the No. 2 seed on Wednesday night, decisioned No. 3 Taylor Brown of Emmaus 6-5 in the semifinals. He was pinned by Jordan Toledo of Pleasant Valley in the final.

Colin Dailey earned a fourth-place finish at 152 pounds and Eric Burgey took eighth place at 145.

Steve Vas, at 285 pounds, lost in the quarterfinals and then in the consolation round Thursday afternoon.

Mike Fleck (103), Patrick Corpora (135), Tevin Gibson (140) and Chris Wilson (215) also competed on the second day and were eliminated in the consolations.

The Red Rovers, who will arrive in Easton on Saturday, also won Reno Tournament championships in 1995, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2006.

Emmaus' Brown earned a third-place finish at 112; Zak Andrews finished fourth at 135 pounds; and Kyle Walbert was eighth at 215 pounds for the Green Hornets.
